LeDarrion W Bonner is an author and illustrator with a heart for creating stories that help children learn, laugh, and believe in themselves.
Growing up, reading didn’t always come easy for LeDarrion. As a child, he struggled with reading and was placed in remedial classes. What once felt like a weakness would eventually become part of his purpose.
Years later, LeDarrion turned those childhood experiences into inspiration. He began creating stories designed to encourage children, spark their imaginations, and remind them that the things that make them different don’t have to hold them back — they can become their strengths.
LeDarrion is the author and illustrator of Trash Truck, Trash Truck, What Do You See?, a colorful children’s picture book that celebrates trash trucks, community helpers, curiosity, and the everyday world children see around them.
Originally created from the love of a father wanting to make something special for his son, the story grew into something much bigger. Today, LeDarrion’s books can reach families far beyond his own home and give children an opportunity to see reading as something fun, exciting, and made for them.
Through Bonners Books, LeDarrion hopes to continue creating memorable characters and meaningful stories while visiting schools, libraries, classrooms, and community organizations to share his books directly with young readers.
